Add Shared Mailbox - MacOS Outlook

Method 1: Classic Outlook for Mac (pre-New Outlook)

  1. Open Outlook and go to the menu bar.

  2. Click Tools → Accounts.

  3. In the left pane, select your primary account.

  4. At the bottom right, click Advanced….

  5. Choose the Delegates tab.

  6. Under “Open these additional mailboxes:”, click the + button.

  7. Type the shared mailbox’s email address (or name) and hit Add.

  8. Click OK, then close the Accounts window.

  9. Back in Outlook you’ll see the shared mailbox appear in your folder list.

Method 2: New Outlook for Mac

  1. Open Outlook. Ensure the New Outlook toggle (top-right) is ON.

  2. In the left sidebar, right-click on your primary mailbox name.

  3. Choose “Add shared folder…”.

  4. Enter the shared mailbox’s address or name and click Add.

  5. The mailbox will now show up under your account in the folder pane.
